Waking Up Dead: An Endless Mountains Ghost Story was a great read. I was completely drawn into the book for two reasons. First of all, I have never believed in ghosts, but have been more of a believer in angels. Deidre Shay is no angel. In fact, she is far from it. Regge Episale created her to be entirely believable and for that reason, the book was hard to put down. Deidre is hell on wheels if she has an ax to grind and what fun it is to see her in action.My second reason for being captivated is the fact that I am originally from Montrose. It was delicious being able to walk through those streets in my mind. I felt like I was at home in Jesse's house, sitting on the front porch and looking down that vast lawn. Ms. Episale described the local details perfectly, right down to the one and only traffic light.
My advice? Read the book. Lose yourself in what might indeed be a possibility after all.

What an Awesome book! I couldn't put it down! It was so Captivating, Picturesque, Vivid, Emotional, Exciting. This one could be a Sequel. I Commend the author! Great read! When's the next one???? WooooHoooo!!!!
For a free book - the story was good. I enjoyed the characters - you could relate to them all. This is a story about relationships and saying goodbye. It was a quick read and fun.
I was pleasantly surprised by the different twist this story had. I was captured from the first page to continue to read it to the end.
The way this author writes held my intereste from the start.
This book was not long enough! I fell in love with all the characters so I hated not reading just a little bit more. Needless to say, I loved the story and highly recommend getting this book.
From the beginning, the story was fascinating and every twist was unexpected. Deidre is like noone you have ever met, and she was not ready to die, nor were those who loved her, willing to let her go. When you read this book, you will become completely obsorbed with the characters of the story. You will be surprised at how intimately you will know them, and feel their pain, as well as their love. Not only won't you be able to stop reading, but when you are done, you will continue to think about it afterward. Now that I have read the book, I have a new and curious perspective of life and one individual experience of the afterlife. This almost reminds me of the sort of story one tells around a campfire, late at night, in complete darkness, to your closest friends, and they BELIEVE every word. I have to tell you, now that I have read Waking Up Dead An Endless Mountains Ghost Story, I too, mourn Deidre Shay.
I hope Regge Episale is in her office this very minute, writing another story I cannot wait to read!
I loved this book. It was engaging and brought you in right from the first page. I cared about the characters within a few minutes, how could you not? With twists and turns, this ghost story rarely goes the direction you think it might, but you never lose the thread of the friendship between the two main characters. I do feel that the beginning of the book started out stronger than the middle could support. I was literally excited while reading the first part of the book, but that feeling didn't last through to the end. Still, all in all a very engaging tale and one that I would read again.
